Family Life & Life's Passions

Deborah enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, all the family, children, grandchildren, friends, colleagues, neighbors, her Love Thy Neighbor Bible Study Group (she and Steve co-founded), travel, interior design, health and nutrition, working on her autobiography (to share insights and pioneering accomplishments made to the United States from an immigrant, military, entrepreneurial first-generation Chinese-Japanese American family committed to service to Country) and sharing family care for her 90 year young mom (also her life coach and world advisor), Keiko, who keeps Deborah active in her Japanese culture, crafts, the MN Japanese Nikkei Project and on top of her game in Sequence. Deborah loves inventing new gourmet dishes in the kitchen as well as preparing her secret signature dish of a low fat, 8 cheese 3 meat sautéed spinach garlic mushroom lasagna (which the Minnesota Gophers Basketball Team attest it’s the best lasagna ever!) and creamy sherry pheasant over sautéed peppers, sausage and wild rice! Deborah’s culinary skills can be attributed to her role as the Sous-chef de cuisine in the kitchen growing up assisting her father and grandfather who pioneered Minnesota’s Chinese restaurant business and industry introducing Chinese cuisine to the City of St. Paul and the Greater Twin Cities area.
