Carla Beaurline

A seasoned television and media veteran, Carla Beaurline has enjoyed a life spent both in front and behind the camera. She is the founder and owner of Around Town TV & Around Town Media. Minneapolis/St. Paul’s longest airing TV Community Showcase; Around Town TV is streamed LIVE worldwide on multiple platforms Tuesday evenings at 7 PM Central Time. A pioneer and leader in the Twin Cities; Around Town Media has paved the way for New Media and Digital Communications. Carla served 8 years as a Board of Governor for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for the Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Chapter and serves on their Foundation as well. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences-Upper Midwest Chapter recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to television well above and beyond that required by their job. That contribution can be in service to the industry, to NATAS, to the community, or to people training for a career in the field. Carla is a 2022 Silver Circle Honoree for over 25 years in the industry. In addition to Carla’s on air resume’ which includes a 13 year stint with Shop NBC, Guest Host for QVC, a host for Talk of The Twin Cities, and providing her talents as an on-air spokesperson for many Twin Cities based businesses—Carla also has over 36 years of experience in TV, Media, Home Shopping, Live Streaming, Social Media, Business Strategy & Marketing, and Communications.

Minnesota’s Lifestyle and Business Expert for Segments on Twin Cities Live; Carla has been a dynamo in the industry, and is well respected among her peers as an award winning journalist, producer, and on air host. Her biggest honor is being the daughter of the late Carl Beaurline. A proud Navy Vietnam Veteran who passed away June 12, 2020. Carla is a Proud American who is grateful for all of those who have served to fight for her freedoms and rights. Carla’s Mother Sandy Beaurline passed away March 15, 2021. The Beaurline Family Scholarship & Educational Foundation will continue to honor their legacies in supporting and celebrating America’s Youth.

Carla graduated from Augsburg College in 1991 obtaining Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Communication and Sociology with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. She began her career with CTV North Suburbs now called Nine North where she still volunteers her time to anchor and in 2013 was inducted into their Hall of Fame. Carla has been a regular Guest Speaker in the Entrepreneurship Class at Augsburg College. In addition to her many professional responsibilities Carla finds time to volunteer with a number of local and national charities and is a Mentor to youth and adults in Broadcast Journalism.

In 1993 Carla founded Leaders and Achievers of America Youth Scholarship, Mentorship, Outreach, Achievement, and Recognition Program. Since 2005 the Beaurline Family also has provided educational scholarships to youth through the Beaurline Family Foundation. Carla has over 46 years directing and staffing youth programs and is excited to launch Leaders & Achievers of America.

Carla makes her home in Shakopee, MN and enjoys spending time boating on the Whitefish Chain; traveling to Siesta Key; is a lifetime aficionado of all things Disney; watching college and professional sports (Hockey and Football); as well as spending time with her family, friends, and her Maltipoo Mimi.
